Um. So just when you thought it was unsafe to text and drive there’s now an app, that will make it safer. Allegedly. Like.com posted this nifty gadget today. It displays with the camera inside the phone what is ahead of you (as a background) while you text…um erm and uh drive. Pretty cool…but is this really safe? I think there should be an app for common sense. Don’t text and drive folks.
Rachel Maddow…was hot?
Okay. Okay. I think Rachel Maddow is STILL hot today. In a different way than her high school years though. Today she seems intelligent, quirky, and quick witted. But her high school year book photo makes her look like that girl that was too cool for school and too cool for me. Thoughts? Is this the face of someone who was a “half jock, half the anti social girl” as Rachel once described her high school self? She’s bigger than Obama either way.
King James, King of the Media?
So for the last 48hrs ESPN, America, and much of the world took a break from the World Cup and devoted their attention to LeBron James. The free agent. Well, in a lackluster announcement I heard that he “has betrayed Cleveland to head to Miami with his friends to win a ring.” One ring to rule them all? Sorry. I have no opinion on this, I’m barely a sports fan let alone a basketball fan.
My fascination is merely in how the mainstream media covered this story. It seems that they gave LeBron more attention for his announcement (dubbing it, “Decision Day”) than they did for Mr. Obama and his first national Oval Office address. Is LeBron bigger than Obama? What do you think? Is this problematic for the culture? Sports over…I dunno, our economic and political livelihoods.
Also, why’d he announce from my hometown, Greenwich CT. I thought he was going to the New York given its closeness. Not to mention he stayed with Allan Houstan. Oh and Kanye was there an no one cared.

Folks. Glenn Beck is either an idiot or a genius. I dunno his motives, so I really have yet to draw a solid conclusion. Either way, it’s no secret that he is prone to theatrics. Take a look at this picture below in which he parodies Lindsay Lohan at her court trial. He has the words “No Ratings” written on his fingernails. Why? It’s a snub at MSNBC.
Honestly, Glenn and Kieth Olberman spend more time covering each other than the actual news. It’s not journalism, it’s Hollywood.
What a dork. By the way…he’s got his own university now. So…if you got rejected from DeVry there’s still a chance at higher education.
